Since 1995, Applied Optimization, Inc. (AO) has been discovering innovative solutions in material science and space science to address the technical challenges of our clients and partners in industry and government. Offering the right balance between critical thinking and non-conformity, our team of scientists, engineers, mathematicians, and software developers strive to further the understanding and state-of-the-art of additive manufacturing (AM), materials processing, space situational awareness, and space object characterization. Our software products’ capabilities include optimizing AM process parameters, mitigating defects in build parts, and processing and exploiting photometry data from Earth’s space domain.
AO office is in Fairborn, Ohio, which is adjacent to the Wright Patterson Air Force Base and across from Wright State University. We have fostered collaborative relationships with academia, the industry, and the government. We employ students and graduates from across the USA, and from local universities nearby, i.e., Cedarville University, Miami University, University of Dayton, and Wright State University. We support our undergraduate and graduate employees as they sharpen their skills, take on responsibilities, and help further their scientific skill set while developing as professionals.
